This is the future home of Wamu Sucks - A Website dedicated to demonstrating
how Washington Mutual harms their customers. Publication of this site has been delayed pending a response from Washington
Mutual on current complaint brought by this site designer's father.
Basically, Washington Mutual touts "NO FEES," but my father bought a pack of gum and that
overdrew his account by $1.50. - instead of rejecting the charge, they gave him what they call overdraft "protection," and
then charged him $30.
After he called to demand it be removed, they didn't remove it "because" they cannot act on
a telephone request. They've since charged him $120. more in fees for small overdrafts lasting less than 24 hours.
We intend to publish stickers to be posted on Washington Mutual ATM machines, to place postings
in Craigslist nationwide - including Wamu's telephone number so the world can complain, to ask people to send the posting
to friends, and to contact the media.
However, first we will be fair and see if Washington Mutual refunds the $120. in fees to the
account of my dear old father (a veteran who is in a wheelchair!)
